Carol Wyatt

A native of Marshall, Texas, Carol studied voice under Tina Piazza at Baylor University. After graduation from Baylor, she continued her studies under Maestro Tomaso Jappelli of La Scala Opera in Milan, Italy.

A distinguished opera career ensued. Carol has sung throughout Europe and North America with such world-renowned conductors and singers as Thomas Shippers, Karl Boehm, Zubin Mehta, James Levine, Placido Domingo, Sherill Milnes, Montserrat Caballe, Katia Ricciarelli, and Simon Estes. Major debuts included performances at the Vienna State Opera; the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall; the Florence May Festival; Teatro Massimo of Palermo in Italy; the Heidelberg Castle Festival; and the Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg State Opera Houses in Germany.

Carol has also performed from the contemporary classic genre in numerous concerts. One example was her presentation of Berio’s “Folk Songs” with the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras. Similarly, she rendered songs by Aaron Copland and Giancarlo Menotti (along with a combination of Broadway hits and American Gospel) at the Wiesbaden (Germany) May Festival. In the latter effort she was accompanied by Steinway artist Larry Dalton.

On the European concert circuit, Carol was increasingly recognized for her strong Christian views and her support of God’s people in Israel. In 1996 she was invited to be a featured soloist in the Jerusalem 3000 Jubilee Festival celebrating the accession of King David to the Throne of Israel.

Recognizing that her calling was to use God’s gift, her voice, to bring Christ to the nations, Carol returned to the United States, where she underwent formal training for ministry. Thus prepared, she is admirably poised to render praise and glory to her Lord in her second and most-important career.

Carol was ordained to the ministry in July 2003.
